What's New in Old Town - November 18, 2016
Come Celebrate The Holiday Season with our Annual Old Town Tree Lighting on Tuesday, November 29th, 5:00pm-7:00pm

We're happy to once again host one of our absolutely FAVORITE Old Town events -- the annual Old Town Tree Lighting!

On Tuesday, November 29th, join us for hot cocoa, sweet treats and live music from some of the local schoolchildren. Beginning at 5:00pm, staff and board of OTMRA invites you to join us at Burton Place Park (1501 N. Wells).

The kids' choir from Franklin Fine Arts Center will be singing holiday songs and carols, followed by the official tree lighting with special guests 27th Ward Alderman Walter Burnett Jr. and 2nd Ward Alderman Brian Hopkins.

Our media partner KHiTS 104.3 will also have music, prizes and giveaways.

And make sure to bring your kids because a certain rosy-cheeked, jelly-bellied gentleman clad in red will be on hand to greet children and listen to their wish lists. That's right, everybody --
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO OLD TOWN!

The annual Old Town Tree Lighting is always an enjoyable neighborhood event. In partnership with SSA 48 Old Town, OTMRA has contracted Old Town Gardens to design and implement the holiday decorations for Burton Place and Wells Street. We urge all our businesses to dress up their storefronts as well, so that come December 1st the whole street will be ready for the festivities!
Old Town's Holiday Charity Drive Is Back!
OTMRA is once again coordinating a Holiday Charity Drive to support local charities Deborah's Place and Chicago House.

Attendees at the November 29th Old Town Tree Lighting are encouraged to bring one or more donated items, including: nonperishable food, household/toiletry supplies, and gently-used or new winter clothing. The Charity Drive will continue though December 22nd at the following Old Town locations:
