Plant Seeds Indoors
for a Jumpstart on Spring

Even the gloom of winter can't dampen the glimmer of hope that comes from planting a seed, promising you spring isn't as far away as you think!

Burpee seeds are here and it's time to get a jumpstart on spring by planting your seeds indoors so you'll have seedlings ready when spring rolls around. Have a sunny windowsill or table? Add some planting cells, potting soil, and a bunch o' seeds and you're good to go!

Extend Your Harvest Through the Fall
Tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, herbs--all do beautifully when started indoors. Lettuces, spinach, basil, beans, peas and several other varieties do well either as seedlings or directly sown into the gardens. In April, plant the seedlings you nurtured indoors, then direct-sow seeds like basil, beans, and cukes every two weeks thereafter. With a little planning, you can extend your harvest right up through fall!
