The 2014 Winter Olympics will be held in both the city of Sochi, Russia
Sochi is a treasure among winter sport enthusiasts, who return every year to explore its pristine alpine valleys and skiing trails.
Sochi is a multicultural city of 400,000 inhabitants representing more than 100 nationalities.
The Alpine sports venues are located about an hour from the centre of Sochi around Krasnaya Polyana.
2014 will be the first time Russia has hosted the Paralympics.

Continuing Education

 Lyons P&O staff just completed the OPIE Bootcamp in Clearwater, Florida! This three day course worked on the efficiency of using our electronic medical management system so that we can better serve the O&P community. During those three days, our staff met together multiple times per day so that we can brainstorm how to implement advancements to our procedures in the office. We at Lyons are committed to providing the best care possible and our continuing education helps us to do so. |

The Seahawks hosted their Salute to Service on Sunday when theyed play the New York Jets at CenturyLink Field, and participating in that Salute was Erin M. Schaefer, SGT. Retired U.S. Army and Wounded Warrior, who lead the team out of the Seahawks tunnel.

 Q: Alex, I keep seeing all these high tech prosthetic devices on the news. I've been very happy with my prosthetic leg but I'm starting to wonder if I'm missing out on some of this fancy new stuff.
A: These are very exciting times in the world of prosthetics! High-tech devices and components are being developed at a rapid pace, giving you, the user, lots of options to explore.
If you find all of these choices confusing, you are not alone. Many people come to us asking this same question. Whether you are a new amputee or not, it is wise to ask questions and educate yourself on all the options available before making a decision about what prosthesis is right for YOU. If you've got specific questions about things you see on tv or the internet, just give me a call or make an appointment and I'll be happy to talk to you about it.
