This year one of America's ten best 4th of July celebrations happens right in downtown Sonoma. Honored by Travel+Leisure Magazine, Sonoma's parade and celebration are a tradition that brings the community together.
Stop by the beer tent in the Sonoma plaza between 12:30 and 3:00 PM  and buy yourself a beverage from Uncle Sam herself (aka Joanne Sanders)! Joanne is volunteering on behalf of the Sonoma Community Center. The Center is sponsoring the Parade and Celebration. If you'd like to volunteer yourself, it's not too late. Last week we pushed capacity to fill positions in 8 different venues and at the NASCAR race at Sonoma Raceway.
"I want to thank the more than 216 people who worked as setup crews, dishwashers, cooks, servers and bartenders this past weekend," said Joanne Sanders. "You were all part of the special charm and hospitality that makes our wine country world renowned. Many of you started your shifts at 5:00 AM with big smiles on your faces. Way to go! Thank you!"
By the way, NASCAR may be over, but there are plenty of special events coming this summer. To be part of it all, be sure to let us know your availability. If you haven't already done so, register today!
