Interns Help Business, Business Helps Interns!

Savvy business people and government managers have long recognized the many advantages young, typically college age, people can bring to an organization over the summer and other vacation periods. A recent AP article highlighted the new levels Silicon Valley biggies like Google have elevated the opportunities and perks they offer to young talent. As you might expect, the competition for interning with such companies is intense.

However, there's no reason to assume that every talented student is only looking for superstar companies to spend their summers with. Bright, motivated youngsters are hungry for real world business experience. We know.  We've had the pleasure of a number of interns working for us.

"This is a commitment," said Joanne Sanders, BOLT's President. "Don't expect to assign them to answering phones for the summer. They are coming looking for substantial challenges that will expose them to the demands of today's work environment."

Growing Transit Alternatives
We Still Have Summer Jobs!
If you know anyone looking for extra money this summer we have great opportunities. Students or working adults can plump up their wallets working in the wine country in some of the most beautiful places on earth! Most assignments are on weekends.
If you're interested in catering, call (707) 552-7800 or click today! If you know someone who might be, forward this email to them now!
If you're looking for other work, we have jobs to consider. In the wine business we have packaging and bottling line work. We have other hospitality jobs in dish washing and hotel housekeeping.  Each of these pays better than fast food and they require little or no experience.
Ways to Save Gas $

With school out, summer is usually a time to take a bit of a break from the driving stresses of commuting. It is also a good time to evaluate travel alternatives.

Commuters in Solano County have SOLTRANS to move them around Vallejo and Benicia as well as bring them to Walnut Creek BART. From there the entire world is available as BART serves San Francisco Airport as well as the familiar Bay Area destinations.

Those headed to San Francisco needn't limit themselves to ground transport either.
SOLTRANS' Transit Center home in Vallejo is just a few steps from the Vallejo Ferry Terminal.
This time of year the ferry ride to the City is especially appealing.
