BOLT's New, Improved
Website!
We are proud to roll out our updated website with many new functions and features to help connect the most qualified employees with the best employers in the North Bay. The address is the same, www.boltstaffing.com but you'll find new goodies like a Job Board (Hot Jobs) and News section (News Flash) to keep jobseekers informed of new job openings and tips valuable to both employees and employers.

Best of all our site is mobile-friendly. As all of us find our phones becoming our computers, this feature will only become more important into the

future. The mobile site isn't just a kluge of the computer version, it is an entirely different site designed around the demands of mobile devices.

Both sites have the same features and if you respond to one, it's the same as responding to the other. All the links and pages are the same, they are simply formatted differently for each device.

BOLT at Job Fair!
Wednesday, October 16 BOLT went to the Job Fair at Napa Valley College. These events are great opportunities for both us as employers and for people seeking jobs in the area. We appreciate the opportunity to participate and thank the College for hosting the event. The NVC staff was very hospitable and organized: providing special parking for employers and providing student manpower to help unloading vehicles and loading after the event. Hats off to the NVC staff for helping to pull off a successful event!

Mobile Warming?   
There are many reasons why people are expanding the use of their cell phones but there is one undeniable fact: mobile consumption of digital media is exploding. In fact, 37% of all digital media accessed is done through mobile devices.
Fully 24% of all website traffic came from mobile devices, as of June 2013. (Career Builder's ebook, "Upward Mobility").
BOLT recognized this and responded with our new website. In reality the "website" is two distinct sites, both optimized for the devices used to access them.
A generation ago, young people discarded newspapers in favor of the internet. A similar change appears underway as  people use their mobile devices in preference to desktop or portable computers.
At the moment, only 1 in 5 Fortune 500 companies have mobile-optimized websites, leaving room for more nimble companies to reach a burgeoning marketplace in the hands of millions of people.
(Apologies to Career Builder, but we couldn't resist borrowing the headline!)
Meal Period Reminder 
 
As employers we all are responsible for keeping the Department of Industrial Relations pacified. Hourly (non-exempt) employees get a half hour break before the start of the fifth hour of work. The break must allow them to leave their workstation and be relieved of all duties.
If you have a BOLT employee on staff please be sure to indicate when the break was taken on each shift on our timesheet. If you have any questions please give Morgan a call at 939-2800.
