The Wine Business:
The boom industry of the North Bay
While much of California's economy has contracted in recent years, the one bright spot in our local economy is the booming wine business.
Obviously growers and wineries are the foundation of the industry, but the numbers of ancillary businesses popping up throughout the North Bay is a very encouraging sign for the health of the local economy.
The boom isn't restricted to wine country either. Cities like American Canyon, Fairfield and Benicia sport numerous businesses involved in logistics, packaging, repacking, as well as corks and closures.
All this activity reflects the recognition of the importance of wine to the future of our area. Wineries have been quick to seize on technology and use the internet and social media to promote their brands. They've also capitalized on their tasting rooms, building a base of loyal fanatics with whom they keep in touch through the web.
All that translates to jobs. Recognizing the growing importance of the industry, BOLT recently added our direct Hire Recruiter, Stephanie Cunningham. To introduce her to you and to help you grow into the future, we will be offering an exciting opportunity right after the first of the year.
