FASHION INDUSTRY HR ISSUES
The Fashion Industry Human Resource Association (FIHRA), is a sub-group of the California Fashion Association. Human Resource Managers of manufacturing, distribution, and retailing groups within the fashion, apparel, and textile industry come together to discuss current HR issues.
January 24th, 2013...The Orange County Chapter Meeting of FIHRA met at the Irvine campus of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM).  Julie Trotter and Gina Miller of Call & Jensen presented "The Effect of Social Media in the Work Environment".  Issues discussed: managing employees' use of Social Media, and recent NLRB rulings as they affect employers' ability to protect its brand names and their image.
