JULY 2013

Ladies enjoying coffee with b3 mugs
Freedom!

Greetings!

We're FREE to be you and me. That's what B3's celebrating this July 4th. Looking for a place to celebrate your independence? Drop on by the café. We'll be open from 8AM - 6PM. And then we close for the night ... to go watch stuff EXPLODE!!! ... like all red-white-blue loving Americans do.

But there is still more celebrating in store this festive month. READ BELOW for info about joining us for Bastille Day, the Tour de France, and APGD Trivia Night. Oh yea, we're bringing the Boom, Boom, POW! this month.

July Beers:

Liberty Brew

A Founding Father with a passion for independence, Samuel Adams would be proud to have a brewery named after him, we think. This month, we salute our liberty with a rocking on the front porch worthy beer: The Samuel Adams - Porch Rocker.

Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams Porch Rocker is bright and citrusy with a fresh-squeezed lemon effervescence and a refreshing finish.  Crisp & tangy, with its combination of lager & tart lemonade this unique summer quencher is our take on the Bavarian Radler, named for cyclists that originated this drink.

Tasting notes: The use of real lemons creates a balance of sweetness, subtle tartness, and effervescence. Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend provide biscuit notes with some additional sweetness. 4.5% ABV.

Wine: Oui! Oui! Wines

Ladies and Gentleman, not only is the Tour de France here, but it is the 100th Anniversary of this epic race. In honor of all that is great about the greatest race in cycling, all month we'll be pouring glasses of our favorite French wines.

Chateau Bonnet Entre-Deux-Mers Blanc, France - Vintner and Bordeaux ambassador for fifty years, Andre Lurton has never produced a wine that didn't express the unique terrior of Bordeaux along with best modern wine making techniques. Lurton's Chateau Bonnet is located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region between the Bordeaux rivers. The soil is clay and limestone that's ideal for the white varietals of Bordeaux. The blend is 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon and 10% Muscadelle,  This wine has lively acidity and distinct grapefruit and citrus notes.

Roc De Segur Bordeaux, FranceBordeaux's 2010 Roc de Segur is a Merlot-based blend; this French red is big and rich with highly extracted fruit. Fresh plum and cherry pit notes show a light coating of toasty vanilla on the finish. Merlot 71%, Cabernet Sauvignon 27% and the balance Cabernet Franc.

grape fine france

Chateau Bonnet Rouge Bordeaux, FranceChâteau Bonnet lies to the North of the Entre-Deux-Mers, on the clay-chalk slopes of the commune of Grézillac, overlooking the Dordogne valley some 10km south of Saint Emilion. The estate dates back to the 17th century. Andre Lurton has crafted this refreshing, juicy red from classic Bordeaux varietals 50% Cabernet and 50% Merlot. Intense deep red. A powerful, balanced wine. Very expressive nose showing blackberry, black cherry and chocolate. Rich palate with lovely fruit and excellent freshness.
