Classic Spotlight Reflections- Told by YOU!
Unique & Special Spotlight Moments:
Here is what makes Spotlight Youth Theater who we are!

"For Kane's Annie, I was Daddy Warbucks and I told myself that I wouldn't shave my head. Monday dress rehearsal comes and I put on the bald cap... the very next day, I shaved my head. The worst part was that the show was in the winter." -Kory Williams

" When I was Pigpen in Charlie Brown we were trying out the chocolate powder as my dirt cloud. They put on a little too much and when I took my place on stage, no one near me could sing because they were all coughing so hard from chocking on my dust cloud" -Caden Marshall

"Okay this is super embarrassing... during a show the curtain closed on me and it scared me so much that I peed in my costume. Not saying which show but no worries it didn't ruin the costume ;)." -Ella Spolstra

"During Godspell in Rockford, there was a competition held by TJ Hill to try and get me to break character during my "Turn Back, O Man" song. This started innocently, as he would simply freeze during the tableau and make funny faces at me while we were stuck staring at each other. After I did not break character, he decided to go further and further, until finally on closing night, while we turned to freeze, I saw that he was holding up a finger that had a face drawn on it and one of the red feathers from my boa sticking to it. The disciple boys all broke character as TJ then proceeded to eat the "finger puppet" in slow motion onstage, and he gagged on the red feather. He still thinks I broke character that night, but I definitely won that challenge." -Clarissa Johnson

"When I was 8 years old, I was in my 2nd show, Aladdin and I was a Lil Genie. Taylor Kras was the Genie and during our song, I had my Little Genie shoes on (they looked like elf shoes) and they got caught under a treasure chest set piece. While the other Little Genies danced off the stage, I was the only awkward one, left on stage with Taylor. I didnt know what to do, so I just stood there with a smile on my face. Taylor kept singing and finally removed the chest from my foot and I ran off as fast as I could! - Brianna Marsalla
