Hello Cincinnati!

Summer is just around the corner. We are learning that the arrival of spring awakens memories of summer days spent at the pool and to many of us that means - let's do some swim lessons!

We are busy working hard to meet your needs! Many of our classes are full and we realize openings are hard to come by. We are using this email to cover what we have planned and what is happening as we enter the summer months.

Apologies for including you on our "Arizona" email! Unfortunately
we don't have all the same programs in Cincinnati YET. We are looking forward to continuing to grow carefully. A year from now we expect to have Baby Splash classes (free for babies 8 weeks through 5 months) and stroke clinics in the spring.

In future newsletters we expect to be able to highlight our Cincinnati swimmers and report on their accomplishments! It is very exciting for us to learn more about all the great kids that swim with us!

We are energized. Your swimmers continue to amaze us. The babies are swimming and the big kids are looking great! Thanks for your dedication to our program. It is working!

How Do Makeups Work?

You are paying for your child's spot in their class. It is always better for your child and our staff if your child attends their scheduled lesson. We understand that you may occasionally need to miss. In an effort to accommodate those rare occasions we do offer makeups on a limited basis and as space is available.

Makeups - we know that sometimes they are hard to come by. Especially as our classes become full. We do not guarantee makeups - they are based on availability. We will never overbook a class to get a makeup in.

  • Each student is allowed to do one make-up per month for missed lessons (one in September, one in October, etc.)
  • Make-ups expire 14 days after the missed lesson.
  • Make-ups cannot be scheduled over the phone. Make-ups can only be booked by submitting the "request a make-up form" online.
  • There is no need to report an absence. If your child will miss 3 lessons in a row, then let us know.
  • Make-ups can be booked a maximum of 7 days in advance.
  • We cannot provide a make-up for a make-up.
We cannot provide make-ups for swimmers in:
  • First month of Blowfish or Goldfish level
  • Special Needs classes
 Perpetual Swim Lessons?

Sara Jumping In

Swimming with Hubbard? You are signed up for the rest of your life.

Really! You own that day and time until:

Your child is moved to another level

You email us and request a different day and/or time

You email us 30 days prior and give us the last day you will attend class

You create your own swim schedule - start when you wish and stop when you wish - just be sure to let us know 30 days in advance so we can get that end date on your lessons and only bill you for the days you will attend in your last month.

EVALUATIONS:  Every week we post a lane # on the lobby bulletin board and we evaluate all of the students in that particular lane. We then email the progress reports within a couple of days.

What a beautiful swim school!

We are excited to be in such a beautiful location and hope you are too. What a great spot to learn-to-swim.

What is new:

Sunshades, doors and benches for the on-deck changing rooms, fans, cubbies and big long counters in the bathrooms, level boards in the viewing area, a really big clock, windsoxs, parent benches on deck, and hippo rafts.

Still to come:

Big colorful rafts to hang on the pool walls (they are really cute AND they absorb sound), music in the parent viewing room and on the pool deck.

Why take lessons in the summer?!

Bruce the Lifeguard

You spend your summer at the swim club and neighborhood pools and you are swimming all summer long. Why stay in lessons for those 30 minutes once a week?

Little Snapper parents - continue swim lessons so we can challenge you with new things to work on.

Group lessons and upper levels? Are your child's strokes getting sloppy? Spend 30 minutes a week letting us remind them what to work on during those lazy days of summer.
