Planned Parenthood's Eugenics Legacy and Current Minority Impact

NOLA Needs Peace Coalition Awareness Week  (Corrected Version)

Greetings!

Abortion devastates the minority community every year.  Don't believe us? Look at these statistics:
  • 1 in every 2.7 African-American pregnancies in the U.S. end in abortion.
  • In Louisiana, 1 in every 7 minority pregnancies end in abortion.
  • 12.6% of the U.S population is African American, but 30% of all abortions are performed on African-American babies.
And Planned Parenthood plays a main role in these statistics by performing over 330,000 abortions annually, almost 1/3 of all abortions in the U.S.

In fact, the organization Protecting Black Life examined the 2010 Census and showed that 79% of Planned Parenthood's 165 abortion facilities were located within two miles of minority neighborhoods.

These statistics are shocking.  It is hard to image a national organization receiving significant tax funding would have statistics similar to Planned Parenthood.

But are these statistics surprising?  Perhaps not when examined in light of Margaret Sanger.

Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger, was a strong supporter of negative eugenics. She wrote many articles and speeches about her desire to weed out "inferior" and "genetically unfit" populations.

In fact, she recommended that the U.S. Government engage in the sterilization of "morons":

Sanger Quote

Today, Planned Parenthood praises Sanger for her work despite her views and many detailed writings.  They do not condemn her advocacy of eugenics.  In fact, Planned Parenthood's main award every year is named in her honor.

Is it just a coincidence that the majority of Planned Parenthood facilities are located near minority neighborhoods? Or, is Planned Parenthood carrying out the Margaret Sanger legacy?

Louisiana does not need an organization with this history performing abortions on Claiborne Avenue or anywhere in our state.

Help us educate our state on the truth of Planned Parenthood.
Discuss this information with friends who may not be aware.
