Airpack Has A General Manager
Please join us in welcoming our own Winslow Sully as our new General Manager. He will now be working full time in our offices.
Some of you may remember him from when he was here in a similar capacity before and some of you may know him from the training classes that he teaches. He will now be heading up the packing and shipping department and he will continue to consult and teach as well. We look forward to working with him more closely, lifting the high quality standards that Airpack is known for to an even higher level.

More Regulatory Changes...
|
 As outlined in the Significant Changes document published recently, IATA/ICAO will introduce more regulatory changes in the upcoming IATA 55th Edition. Some of those interesting changes are:
♦ Revisions to the regulatory requirements for lithium batteries. *Covered in our Dec. Lithium Battery class!
♦ Numerous additions and changes to the Special
Provisions section. ♦ New Packing Instructions & updates to existing Packing Instructions. ♦ A revised definition of "net quantity".

 The 55th Edition of the IATA DGR becomes effective on January 1, 2014 and the 2013 49CFR regulations come out this month. JGA strongly recommends updating your library as soon as possible as it's a definite best practice to be sure to have the most current regulations on hand.
The 36th Amendment of the IMDG code becomes mandatory as of January 1, 2014. Now is the time to get your IMO certification or recertify your existing certification and get up to date on the current edition.
