Local Injury and Violence Prevention Capacity Assessment Tool

NACCHO developed the Local Injury and Violence Prevention Capacity Assessment Tool to assess local health department (LHD) injury and violence prevention efforts, while also taking into account the role of local partners in addressing the causes of injury and violence. The purpose of the tool is to (1) provide LHDs and their partners with an opportunity to assess local capacity to address the causes of injury and violence across the lifespan; and (2) identify potential areas for strengthening the organizational and system supports needed to improve local capacity.

NACCHO Model Practices 2013

NACCHO is accepting Model Practices applications through Oct. 31. Since 2003, NACCHO's Model Practices Program has recognized and shared outstanding local public health practices through the Model Practices Database. Submit a practice and contribute to the overall improvement of public health through evidence-based methods. For more information, contact the Model Practices team at practices@naccho.org.
