Integration Showcase
The spotlight is on Prove It!
Prove It! gives you the power to identify and select the most talented candidates and employees.
With over 1500 validated assessments, Prove It! is the only testing solution you need.

Prove It! is integrated with Avionté, making it easy to run a variety of assessments in different fields and skill sets. Assessments can range from Basic to Advanced levels and include topics in Clerical, Industrial, Healthcare and more.

The time you'll save and the new Prove It! results search capabilities are well worth the low monthly fee of $30. It doesn't really make sense to go without! Learn more about Prove It! in our Knowledge Base and contact your Client Manager for a 1 month free trial.

Join us for an overview of what Prove It! can do for you on Thursday, Oct 20 at 1:00 PM Central.
Community Corner
Do you want to connect with other Avionté Users?
Avionté is more than just a name, we are a community. A community of specialized software users, and as such we are creating a column to help you connect, network, and explore new opportunities within the community. Perhaps you would like to discuss best practices. Maybe you want to add experienced Avionté users to your staff, or perhaps you are an experienced user looking to relocate. Send your LinkedIn Address to: Peggy.Esch@avionte.com

We will publish the LinkedIn addresses of those interested in connecting. The rest is up to you!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Windows 10 Users
A bug with Microsoft Remote Desktop Gateway was introduced by Microsoft in the Anniversary update for Windows 10 and it appears to only affect the 32-bit version of Windows.

The connecting user will see the following error message: "Your computer can't connect to the Remote Desktop Gateway server. Contact your network administrator for assistance."

Microsoft has not yet released a fix for this issue. To work around the issue, login to Avionté by launching Remote Desktop Connection and entering the following address:
<company code>.aviontego.com

For example, if your Company Code is 'xyz', then you would use the following address to connect:
xyz.aviontego.com

If you don't know your Company Code, please reach out to your Client Manager for assistance.

Tip of the Week
Generate a GL Feed
Note: To avoid losing real data, during testing/setup, back up the live general ledger data in your accounting software prior to importing any new test GL entries from Avionté.

Review the Field Definitions and Groupings and Offsets in the Avionté Knowledge Base.
  1. Navigate to Main Menu Back Office > Weekly Process.
  2. Click GL on the Shortcuts menu. The GL Feed Form displays.
  3. In the Date Range section of the GL Feed Form, enter a Start Date and End Date based on accounting period.
OPTIONAL: To clear prior journal entries, click Delete Journal Entry
    • Journal entries for the dates listed in the Start Date and End Date will be deleted.
    • If the journal has consistently balanced in previous accounting periods, there is no need to remove the journal entries.
OPTIONAL: Select the specific items in GL Entity that will be included in the GL Feed.

ItemDescription
GL Column
Select the account columns that need to be included. The default setting includes all columns. Unselecting a column could cause the GL groups to not balance.
BranchSelect which branch/branches to include. To separate export files by branch, select one branch at a time and generate/export each result. Creating separate feeds for each branch may also result in an imbalance in the GL groups.
Entry ItemThis selection list does not impact the GL Feed or the Journal Entry results.

4. Click Generate Journal Entry
    • All journal entries from the dates selected will be created on the Journal Entry Tab
    • Verify the journal entries balance per group in the Journal Entry tab (Debit Amount = Credit Amount)
5. Return to the GL Action tab.
    • Ensure the Start Date and End Date are still listed correctly.
6. Click Browse and select a folder/location where the GL Feed will be saved.
7. Click Generate GL Feed. The feed will generate journal entries created for the selected date range with mapped accounts.
8. Proceed with import within the external accounting software.
