ACA Filing and Reporting
Thursday, December 17th, 9:00am - 4:00pm CT
Avionté will be hosting an Open Forum to review ACA year end filing and reporting. 

In preparation for this event, we sent an email communication which includes a process power point deck and other supporting documentation. This communication was sent earlier today, so look for it in your inbox. We ask that you take some time and review the information provided. If you still have questions, be sure to join us during the Open Forum.

Please register to ask your ACA year end questions. It is an Open Forum so you may come and go - or stay all day! The Avionté / myHRcounsel panel will be available to assist you from 9:00am - 4:00pm CT.

Avionté Bootcamp

Year End - It's Practically Here!
Is 2015 your first year end with Avionté?
If 2015 is your first year end using Avionté, take advantage of our free year end preparation training. 

Do you feel that you need assistance preparing for your first year end with Avionté? If so, send a ticket to the Support Center asking to schedule an appointment with our tax team. This is a free service that our tax team offers for first time year end clients.

Even if your company has been through year end preparation training with Avionté before, you can still schedule an appointment - However, there will be a fee for consultation or additional training. Contact the tax team for details.

SUI Rates
Review and update your SUI rates and start/end dates.
 
Sales Tax
Review and update or add Sales Tax rates. Verify your start/end dates.

Minimum Wage
Review and update Minimum Wage rates.

Dating checks during the holidays
The next two weeks are holiday weeks ending on Friday. How do you plan to date your payroll checks - Thursday or Friday?

Some things to consider:
  • If you date your checks on Friday, December 25th and January 1st, employees may not receive funds until the following Monday. However, using Friday will give you 52 pay periods in 2015 and 52 pay periods in 2016.
  • If you date your checks on the previous Thursday, December 24th and December 31st, then all of the wages will be included in 2015, giving you 53 pay periods in 2015 and only 51 pay periods in 2016.
  • All deductions will be affected by your decision.
  • Review your Health Plan - some health plans may be dependent on the number of pay periods there are in a given year.
