Help Us Give to Local Nonprofit, The Link!

Last year, the Avionté Hope Foundation established a partnership with The Link, a nonprofit organization that provides support and services to over 3,300 at-risk youth in the Twin Cities area each year. The organization is currently raising funds for transportation needs at Lincoln Place Apartments, to help them purchase a van and cover related expenses so their residents can make necessary trips to the grocery store, health appointments, and more.

"Transportation is a key factor in order for our youth to gain independence and maintain a healthy lifestyle," Carla Kress, Volunteer Coordinator at The Link said. "This has become an issue for our Lincoln Place residents as most activities and stores are not on an easily accessible bus route or within walking distance."

The Link has currently raised $24,100 toward their goal. We want to help them with the rest! Avionté has offered to match ALL donations toward their LP Transportation Fund until they reach $30,000!

Will you help us help The Link reach their goal? The Link is a 501c3 organization, and all donations are tax deductible. You can donate in three ways:

  • Send checks to The Link, attn: LP Transportation Fund, 1210 Glenwood Ave, Mpls 55405.
  • Donate through The Link's website (GiveMN). Make a note in the 'Tribute and Memorial Dedication' field to give to the "LP Transportation Fund".
  • Call our main line with the payment information, and ask for an AHF committee member. We can help get your money to the right place!
We are excited to be able to help The Link reach this goal. Thank you for your generosity!

Did You Know?
You can create searchable fields!
We are often asked how to track data that doesn't fit neatly into one of our predefined areas. This data can range from how an Employee found out about your job opening to which team they are rooting for in the Superbowl. It is as easy as adding a new Choice Code. Choice Codes are added to the Extra section and can be used as search criteria, making Advanced Search an even more valuable tool. Check out this week's Tip to find out how.
Tip of the Week

Extra! Extra!

The searchable Extra fields allow you to track data that doesn't have its own home in AviontéAdmin Tools permission is needed to create Extra fields.

  1. Click on your Admin Tools link.
  2. Choose System from the left panel and double-click Config Choice from the right panel.
  3. Click Add New.
  4. Select EmployeeExtra from the Category drop down list.
  5. Type the Choice Code and Description.
  6. Choose the Branches where you would like to see this Extra Choice Code.
  7. Click Save.
But wait! There's more!
Before you close this window...Best practice is the creation of a drop down or multi-list. A drop down allows one selection from the list, while a multi-list allows multiple selections (using check boxes) from the list. This helps to eliminate data entry mistakes making searches more accurate.
  1. From the System Config Choice window, click on the Choice Property tab.
  2. Choose EmployeeExtra from the Category list.
  3. Select the branches to include.

  4. Locate your new Choice Code.
  5. Scroll if needed to find the ValueList and ValueType columns.
  6. In the ValueList column, type the values that should appear in the drop down or multi-list. The values should be separated by commas.
  7. In the ValueType column, type Valuelist to display a drop down list. OR type Multilist to display a list in which multiple values can be selected via check boxes.
  8. Click GO.
  9. When you load the Customer > Extra screen your new Extra is listed under Label.
  10. The values you included are listed under the Value drop down or multi-list.

Advance Search can now locate this information. You can also have this information brought into an existing or new Report, ask your Account Manager for details.
