Throughout my time as a corporate recruiter, I worked with multiple staffing vendors to gather the information used to complete our Affirmative Action plan.

Most staffing vendors did not have software that was able to track the needed information. Can you imagine pulling all of this together by hand? The good news is you won't have to if you start working with a customer that requires EEO information on submitted candidates.

EEO information can be tracked via the online application (on a voluntary basis) and it can be entered into the New Employee wizard. If you don't currently see these items, you may want to check with your Admin to see if they have been turned off. Now, I know there are a few compliance gurus looking at this and thinking.. discrimination. Don't worry; when the EEO information has been entered it is masked to users.

Once the information has been collected it can then be generated via the Federal EEO AQ. If you don't have access to this AQ, check with your Customer Care rep.

In addition to the Federal EEO AQ, you will want to check out the Order Candidate report. This report is used in conjunction with the Candidate(s) feature. When a candidate is attached to a specific order, you will have the ability to pull back a snapshot of the candidates selected, their status and the last date changed.

In most cases these two reports will quickly pull the data needed to satisfy the needs of your customers with Affirmative Action plans. Not only will it make your work load a little easier, they will greatly appreciate the attention to detail and quick response time(they don't have to know it just took a couple of clicks to put together)!
