 NOT TODAY Wells doesn't believe that God cares: he says he prayed and prayed for a miracle, that his parents wouldn't divorce, and all he got was "stone cold silence." One scene in particular highlights his loss of trust: he butchers "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep!" But it's a poignant moment that shows his growing sense of involvement in the life of the little girl and ultimately, his turning back to God. It's a process - not a one-time deal, but a journey through the heart of corruption.
