The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2
Brought to Life By Love Elizabeth Leitch
Even after the many ridiculous moments it has involved, I am still drawn to the Twilight story because I see it not as an actual romance between a girl and a vampire, but as more of a metaphor for a greater spiritual romance between us and God.
Lincoln
The "Real" Abe: Shocking? Yo
During my screening for Lincoln, I couldn't help but notice just how many people from my church happened to be there. It must have been well over a dozen, including a couple pastors and the manager of the bookstore on our church's campus (yeah, it's one of those mega church places).

Fist-felt, Heartfelt Dice
What's your favorite part of martial-arts flicks... the highly-choregraphed, intense, knock-down-drag-out fight sequences, or the sensitive, heartfelt personal drama embedded in the backstory? Yeah, I thought so.

News About What's in the Works for Film and Faith Managing Editor Greg Wright
Bible-Based Films The spate of Hollywood involvement in biblical tale-telling continues to grab headlines around the country.

These tidbits bring some new dimensions to the planned Moses epics... and, of course, Will Smith's Cain and Abel story. A "vampire twist"???? Well, that's not news, really. As far back as July 0f 2010, Will Smith's name was attached to a project called "The Legend of Cain," and since then the project has grown, morphed, and will now apparently be directed by Smith as well. Culturally, the move to include a vampire twist to the story even makes a sort of sense...

Stay Tuned for More Hobbit CoverageSatire
You can tell that Oscar-nominated contenders in the movie world are making Peter Jackson nervous. A recent press release to the major network raised some serious flags as the description of the movie sounded vaguely (and variously) familiar. Here is what Peter Jackson wrote: Peter Jackson Hobbit Press Release The Hobbit is coming out in December and will complete the Lord of the Rings Saga. Join us in the beautiful Shire of Middle-earth as Bilbo goes on a treasure hunt. Alongside him is his trusty group of elves, dwarves, an American Patriot, a man of Iron, and a large green hulking beast...
