     Lincoln
Spielberg Talks on 60 Minutes Yo
The years he spent estranged from his father led to many absentee dad characters in his films. However, Spielberg and his dad have recently reconciled, and that has led to more heroic father figures in his movies, of which Lincoln is probably the best example.

News About What's in the Works for Film and Faith Managing Editor Greg Wright
Warriors of the Last Temple            For the last several years, Dr. John Noē of the Prophecy Reformation Institute has been working with Movieguide's Ted Baehr to develop and polish a script about the Jewish-Roman War of AD 66-70, an area of Noē's academic expertise.
According to Noē, "the 126-page script is currently being shopped in Hollywood and three producers are in the process of seeking funding" for a "high-concept, action-adventure, historical and political epic." The climate is certainly right to find financing for such a project... presuming the script is sound.
Noē estimates the production budget at $100 M. Noē's blog says that the story "is told through the eyes of Flavius Josephus, the reluctant scribe, whose written account is the only eyewitness account of this period." Baehr has reportedly dubbed Warriors of the Last Temple "the greatest story never told.".

   Runaway Slave     Maurice Broaddus
"Why should they reach out to Black folks?" says Bryant about conservatives. "Why can't they see for themselves what the best thing is for their pocketbooks, for their families, and America? Why do Black folks have to be led around and told, 'This is what's best for you.' That's almost insulting."

Stay Tuned for More Hobbit CoverageSatire
Disney went on a shopping spree last night and, on top of buying LucasFilm, also bought the creative rights to Tolkien. In light of this recent purchase, Disney plans on making a much needed sequel to Lord of the Rings. It will be called Lord of the Rings 4: Revenge of the Nazgul.
For those of you worried that the famous children's company will ruin the ancient literature of Tolkien, Disney assures that they will keep the integrity of the books.  All the original horses (Shadowfax, Bill) will be in the series and have full speaking parts.  They have already started casting the elf princesses, says a Disney producer.   Some people are worried that Disney will not represent the story to the best interests of a thirteen-or-older crowd.  Disney assures that Aragorn (played by Johnny Depp) and Legolas (Played by Liam Hemsworth) will keep the teenagers engaged.  When Gimli (played by John C. Reilly) swats away Tinkerbell and yells, "Blasted faerie!  I'd kill the lot of you," it will please both action and Disney critics alike. Chasing Ice

Are global warming and climate change real? Well, one man figured the best way to determine that was to look at the ice. Although the concept itself is simple enough, actually doing it turned out to be an epic undertaking. And what he found is truly astounding.
