By now we hope you've already heard that the appeal hearing for the harbor redevelopment landside Coastal Development Permit (CDP) application appeal is scheduled to be heard by the Dana Point City Council on Tuesday, November 18th.

On September 26th and 28th, 2014 your Dana Point Boaters Association submitted Public Records Requests to the City of Dana Point and OC Dana Point Harbor requesting "copies of documents and correspondence submitted to the California Coast Commission (Commissioners & Staff), City of Dana Point (Council, Commissioners & City Staff) that have modifications or additions to the original Dana Point Harbor Revitalization (Commercial Core Project) Coastal Development Permit (CDP)."  The following are links to the formal requests we submitted to the City of Dana Point & OC Dana Point Harbor.

As of this writing we have received two (2) documents from the City of Dana Point from our Public Records Request.  The first document is "Wave Uprush Analysis, Revised" and the second document is "Dana Point Harbor Shoreline Management Plan, Revised".  These documents along with all the previous CDP & CDP Appeal Hearing documents can be found on our "Dana Point Harbor Commercial Core Revitalization Webpage".

The following is the formal response from OC Dana Point Harbor to our Public Records Request, which only included one section 6.2.5 per our requests "OC Dana Point Harbor Response".  As of this writing we have yet to receive any further information from our request.  We do find it "strange", that the OC Dana Point Harbor has refused our public information request but we got their (OC DPH) documents from the City of Dana Point who complied with our request.

If you do have any questions or comments regarding the upcoming City of Dana Point CDP Appeal Hearing please send them to us at our Boaters Liaison Program.

BTW, the next regular round of our Boater Liaison Program will be closing on Friday, October 31, 2014 in order to start preperation for submitting to OC Dana Point Harbor.  Remember, our Boater Liaison Program is always open for submissions!

It's therefore essential that you make plans now to attend this schedule hearing.  If you don't attend then plan to abide by the views of others, including a powerful outside commercial interests and many other non-boaters.

We'll be there on Tuesday, November 18th, 2014.  Will you?

The Officers and directors
Dana Point Boaters Association
