Tail Wagging Tutors have returning following a very successful pilot project this summer.

Students in grades K-5 who would like to gain confidence in reading out loud will have the opportunity to read to a dog for 15 minutes.

We have three days
  • Saturdays from 2:00p-3:00p (Angel and Sammi)
  • Wednesdays from 4:30p-5:30p (Kathy and Wyatt)
  • Thursdays from 4:30p-5:30p (Shelly and Izzy)

The program will run through Saturday, November 16. Please contact the Children's Desk at (248) 618-7692 to reserve a 15-minute spot.

The Hunger Games: Book or Movie?

Teens - here's your chance to weigh in on your favorite format.

Read the book before the program and come to the library for a screening of the movie. We'll compare the two and decide which is better. What did they leave out? What did they add?

We'll also have pizza and pop!

Using Google Earth for Genealogy

Many genealogists are familiar with Google Maps. But do you use Google Earth?

Learn about applying this powerful site to your genealogical endeavors. Come and learn how to discover more about the neighborhoods of your ancestors.

We will take a look at how to use the free services of Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Street View and Google Search to help enhance and simplify your genealogy research. Sponsored by the Waterford Genealogical Society.

By the end of this month we will have the "I geek..." posters from the September 25 photo session on display. Come in to see who else you may know "hanging around" in the Library.

We will also have panels posted on the exterior front walls of the Library just in case you only have time to put items in the outside book return.

The "Geek the Library" project is coasting to a close over the next 8 weeks. We hope you have had as much fun with it as we have.
