Wed., Nov. 18 at noon: Healthy Eating and You
Regional Health Center staff discuss healthy eating choices.

Wed., Nov. 18 at 3:30 p.m.: Choosing the Right College for You 
Purdue University Calumet staff explain how to start your college search. Teens, adult learners, and parents welcome.

Thurs., Nov. 19 from 10-4: Affordable Care Act signups 
A Community Health Net representative signs people up for ACA health insurance. 

Thurs., Nov. 19 at 4 p.m.: Teen Soap Making (grades 7-12)
Teens can make shaped soaks for themselves, or as gifts. All supplies are provided.
 
Thurs., Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.: It's a Wrap 
Just in time for the holidays, Jackie Riffice of Prairie Godmothers shows how natural elements and recycled papers, ribbons and boxes make stunning, low-cost gift wrap. 

 

Youth programs include:
Mon., Nov. 16: Music Monday at 1 p.m. and Lego Club (ages 6-13) at 4 p.m.

HPL accepts food drive donations

HPL again accepts nonperishable food items to assist Greater Hammond Community Services. Drop off your canned or boxed items at the Circulation Desk, by Sat., Nov. 21. Items should be in good condition, and not expired.
