Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Wed., Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m.: Watch the film Cesar Chavez. Local labor leader, Oscar Sanchez, who knew Chavez, will discuss many of the people portrayed in the film.
"Better than Google" classes 

Three "Better than Google" classes take place in October:
  • Fri., Oct. 2 at 11 a.m.: Databases You Can Use - learn about various databases for writing and research.
  • Fri., Oct. 9 at 3:30 p.m.: Scholarship Search - find the scholarships and financial aid that you need.
  • Fri., Oct. 23 at 11 a.m.: Job Search - get a list of job websites, and tips on where to look for employment.

  • No Ordinary Hero: The Superdeafy Movie- Thurs., Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m.A repeat showing of this film starring John Maucere as Superdeafy, an action hero who cannot hear. This film is 100% open captioned.
  • CDL Instructional Session: Thurs., Oct. 22 at 4 p.m.  Interested in obtaining your commercial drivers license? Representatives from Driveco and Schneider will be here to answer your questions.
     
  • Healthy Hammond: Wed., Oct. 21 at noon. Regional Health Center staff discuss how to maintain a healthy blood pressure.

Youth Services - new STEAM series

Thursdays at 4 p.m.: Oct. 1, 8, & 15
Join us for a fun new program in which we combine Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. While it is not necessary to attend all three sessions, we recommend attending all three sessions, as they build upon each other.
