Greetings! !

JUST ANNOUNCED: HPL is pleased to announce that The Waldorf Theatre Company will present Shakespeare's "The Tempest" on Sat., June 1 at 1 p.m.

A story of freedom, repentance, and forgiveness, the play centers on the magician Prospero and his daughter Miranda. Banished to a deserted island, Prospero uses magic to conjure a storm and ship wreck the men responsible for his banishment on the same island. Various plots against the main characters fail throughout the play, with all forgiven in the end.

The company, from Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, is performing in various venues in the Midwest between May 19-June 7. We're glad to offer this opportunity to kick off Summer Reading. Come join us for this free 45-minute presentation on June 1! (While you're here, sign up for the Summer Reading Program. Six different programs serve newborns through adults.)
