Chicago Alderman Involved in Illegal Pigeon Capture
Dear Friends,
Like any big town, Chicago, Illinois is beset with weighty issues: crime, taxes, business conditions, etc. For one Chicago alderman, however, his biggest concern appears to be pigeons. Alderman James Cappleman is fixated on pigeons, saying there are far too many of them. Alderman Cappleman invited a mysterious, unnamed farmer to come in and trap pigeons for removal to Indiana.

Pigeons baited, netted and taken where? Alderman Cappleman isn't saying.
| That's quite a story, considering that no farmer wants to bring pigeons to his property. Farmers consider pigeons to be pests. Even more interesting is that such removal appears to violate both Illinois and Indiana laws. The removal of the pigeons violates The Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act, and the state of Indiana requires a permit for bringing in pigeons. No such permit has been issued in some ten years according to Indiana officials. We are trying to get to the bottom of this, but Alderman Cappleman has now decided it's time to hide. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has reportedly launched a criminal investigation into allegations pigeons have been scooped up in Chicago, and improperly transported to Indiana. CBS Chicago television has been diligently reporting on this story for four nights. CBS interviewed me on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday about this outrage. Here is a link to the story on Tuesday night, the link for the story Wednesday night and the link to the story last night.
We are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can give us evidence leading to the identity of the pigeon trappers. If the pigeon shoot mafia thinks they can get away with this kind of thing in our backyard, they are in for a nasty surprise, even if they do have a Chicago alderman in their pocket.
What You Can Do:
Please politely contact Alderman Cappleman's office and ask him where are the pigeons, who took them and why?
