| Def Leppard Exposed in new SHARK Video on YouTube |

As many of you know from our recent e-updates, rock legend Def Leppard intends to perform next month at one of the world's most cruel and deadly rodeos, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo.
SHARK investigated and documented the abuse, brutality, and violations at the CFD Rodeo, and we have been exposing it since 2005 on our site, ShameOnCheyenne.com. This has been instrumental in getting Starbucks Coffee and singer Carrie Underwood to pull their support from the rodeo.
When SHARK found out that the rock group Def Leppard, of whom several members are vegetarian, is scheduled to play at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, we immediately contacted the group's publicist and sent video materials. Despite the urgings of SHARK, other animal advocacy organizations, and letters from fans, Def Leppard has not heeded the call for compassion yet.

| Cowboy Criminals Pervade Rodeo's Ranks |

As if the abuse and brutality inherent in rodeos isn't enough to appall and turn off sponsors and entertainers, one would think being affiliated with the likes of corrupt, unethical sleazebags like Troy Ellerman and sexual perverts like Larry Lancaster would drive away any remaining doubt.
 Many of you have followed the scandal of attorney and wannabe cowboy Troy Ellerman while he was still heading the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) as commissioner. Ellerman, seen right, was exposed as the source of the BALCO grand jury leak and pled guilty in February.
There was shocking turn of events last week when the judge seeing the case rejected Ellerman's plea deal as not punitive enough. Judge White chastised,
"The court hereby rejects the plea agreement and refuses to be bound thereby," White said, declaring that Ellerman had "corrupted several different aspects of the criminal justice system," particularly the grand jury. Ellerman lied to government agents, courts and the news media, the judge said.
White said Ellerman's actions had "impacted all three branches of government," including the legislative branch, by prompting new calls for a federal shield law that would protect journalists from being forced to disclose their sources.
Still unwilling to "cowboy up" and take any responsibility for his actions, Ellerman was quoted in another article blaming "excessive drinking and drug abuse and the constant "hounding" of reporters" for his lack of morals. Real rodeo family values, Troy.

While the PRCA is busy trying to hold its tattered seams together, the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) is doing their best to keep the hush on the news about their longtime major sponsor, Lancaster's Rock-n-Roll Rodeo Gear.
Larry Lancaster, of Lancaster's Rock-n-Roll Rodeo Gear and Larry Lancaster's Rodeo School, was convicted on May 25, 2007 of six counts including sexual assault on a child, bribery of a witness or victim, unlawful sexual contact, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
And yet, there has been no outrage, no indignation, no call for change, from the parents of the children involved with the NHSRA or word from the NHSRA itself.
