Dear Friends, With five days to go before Hilary Duff's bullring concert in Madrid, Spain, it appears that Ms. Duff thinks she's unstoppable -- beyond our reach. When it comes to playing the bullring concert she may be unstoppable, but she will soon learn that she is not beyond our reach. Once Hilary plays her bullring concert, the ball falls into our court, and I hope Hilary likes to play hardball. Dealing with such arrogance, is SHARK's specialty. Here's how it breaks down. On May 6, Hilary will play her bullring concert. On the evening of May 7, the Tiger will fire up its movie screens on the streets of Los Angeles, right where Hilary's friends and associates can get a good view of a very special movie, directed by yours truly. The Tiger will work the streets of LA for a number of days. If need be, the campaign can stretch into weeks and beyond. The combination of very graphic rodeo and bullfighting footage on the Tiger's big screens is going to make Hilary wish that she had never stepped foot in a rodeo or a bullfighting arena. SHARK's rodeo footage was enough to make Starbucks buck the rodeo. Our bullfighting footage was enough to make Pepsi AND Coca-Cola terminate their longstanding relationships with the Bullfighting Mafia. Hilary is going to get nailed with both sets of video. She's about to learn a hard lesson in life, but by the time her awakening occurs it will be too late to stop the damage. Hilary's fans are going to come away with a very, very different view of her after they see what she is involved in. People who don't know her name now will soon, and it won't be in a positive light.

Mentioning the www.DumpDuff.com website will help young people to learn about the cruelty and death in rodeos and bullfighting, and could put tremendous pressure on this arrogant young woman to change her ways. Young people talk a lot on the internet, so reaching out to them could be very, very productive. Needlessly suffering, dying bull.
I'm certain you will remember the dog abuse case in Lake County, Illinois from a couple weeks ago. I'm sorry to report that the two dogs have been returned to their "caregivers," thanks to the carelessness and corruption of Lake County State's Attorney Michael Waller. You'll remember that Waller's office was in the wholesale lying business as it told callers multiple stories about the case. Various callers were simultaneously told that the charges were being pursued (they weren't), that the videotape didn't show cruelty (it did), that there was no evidence (of course there was!), etc. Poor Michael Waller. He learned the hard way that it is hard for liars to lie together, not that he really gives a damn. Humane Investigator Karen Rappaport expressed her appreciation for the calls and emails you made and asked that I thank you for your help. Thanks very much! Karen said that those of you who helped "really rock!" The day the abusers picked up their dogs at the shelter is one they will never forget. There was a large protest at the shelter waiting for the "caregivers" when they arrived. In fact, they needed a police escort! When the people left with the dogs, the protesters followed them home and continued at their home for a couple more hours. At this point when the dogs are being walked, the caregivers are being overly nice to them. Of course, we do not believe that they have truly changed. There are plenty of truly caring people in the area who will be watching for any reemergence of cruel treatment and then there will be another fight.

for passing a ban on foie gras! Special kudos to
Chicago Alderman Joe Moore, who spearheaded the
effort. I hope you will take a moment to drop
him a
quick email to thank him for a heroic and
groundbreaking effort at: Far, far less impressive were the comments of Mayor Richard Daley, a foie gras consumer who made numerous statements deriding the efforts of more compassionate people than himself. Daley said that he was more concerned with children dying in the city. What a copout! This is a guy that is constantly involved in political shenanigans, and children seem to be just about the last thing that he cares about, unless of course he can use them to take a swing at compassionate people. Daley would do well to shake his apparent addiction to diseased duck livers, cause he frankly looks a little diseased himself. Kind of like those cruelly force-fed ducks whose sick livers will no longer be allowed in Chicago. And then there are all those corruption rumors swirling about his administration, the convictions of city managers and inquiries by the federal prosecutors... I think "Tricky Dick" should worry less about where he can get his next fix of diseased duck liver, and worry more about ending the rampant corruption in his administration.
