Report on the Dec.30th Meeting of the Women's Events consortium group
We were very happy to have many new members joining us at the meeting. In fact, by engaging them in conversation in shul after the services on Shabbos, we invited them to the meeting. It seems that this is a successful mechanism to engage more new people into our congregation.
We believe that by being friendly and encouraging people to join our shul community, we will indeed rebuild our shul and make it into a thriving community where people can come to meet and discuss issues, enjoy cultural activities and of course join us in the beautiful and spiritual davening . We did suggest that a Kiddush on shabbos would be a good way to meet new people and exchange ideas.

Bnei Emunim Event at YIBE of Borough Park 12/29/2013
Well over one thousand wide-eyed young Yeshiva boys came to Young Israel Beth El on a normally quiet Sunday afternoon for a sold out event.  Organized and sponsored by Bnei Emunim, boys from all segments of Boro Park and beyond assembled in our shul for a kinus on the importance of brachos and kavanah. What they boys didn't know, was that they would be seeing and experiencing our spectacularly magnificent shul.  The boys were totally awe-struck.  What a perfect place for them to internalize everything that they learned.  The video says it all.
Mazel TovShabMevorchimSponsorship
Mazel Tov to Rabbi and Rebbitzen Snow upon the Aufruf this Shabbos of their grandson Shlomo Zalka Yablonsky son of Rabbi Sharir and Shayna Yablonsky of Edison NJ. Shlomo is engaged to Gitty Katz daughter of Avi and Huvy Katz of Monsey NY.

May the Yablonsky and Katz families together with the Grandparents see much Yiddishe Nachas from their Chosson & Kallah and may we always share in each other's Simchas!
