The YIBE Women's Event Consortium
The YIBE Women's Event Consortium met last week and decided to hold many new and exciting events at our Shul. We invite all women to attend our next meeting on Monday, December 30th at 7:00 pm in the YIBE Shul office. We are looking forward to promoting functions and activities. In February, IY"H, will be the inaugural event dealing with Jewish Issues. It will feature the viewing of a movie Sarah's Key with a literary discussion to follow. The subject is the Holocaust in France. We are also planning a docent led tour of the Jewish Heritage Museum in the future.
We want to thank all those who attended and supported the first women's event in 20 years at YIBE. Kudos to Bea, past sisterhood president for spearheading the revival of women's events at the Shul. We thank Atti, Chavie, Esther, Felicia, Lilly, Renee and Sarita for all your hard work and generous donations of gifts that were raffled off. We thank our esteemed Rabbi for his erudite talk on the Chanukah lights and of course our appreciation to Dov Lenchevsky & Dan Becker for the musical entertainment. Teamwork really paid off.
We are looking to having you participate to make YIBE a community Shul that is vibrant.

Who am I?
Moses' second question to God at the burning bush was, Who are you? "So I will go to the Israelites and say, 'Your fathers' God sent me to you.' They will immediately ask me what His name is. What shall I say to them?" (Ex. 3: 13). God's reply, Ehyeh asher ehyeh, wrongly translated in almost every Christian Bible as something like "I am that I am," deserves an essay in its own right.
