U.S. Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) Chairperson, Dr. Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo will address PHEN's 12th Annual Summit on Thursday, September 15th during the session: "Prostate Cancer Early Detection PSA Testing - The Next Chapter" which will be moderated by Dr. J. Jacques Carter. Dr. Bibbins-Domingo will provide insight into the USPSTF's current process of updating its 2012 recommendation against PSA testing which is one of the most controversial medical issues of today. Dr. Ruth Etzioni will present PSA screening modeling results from the Cancer Intervention Modeling Network (CISNET) prostate working group. Dr. Kathryn Wilson will present data from a Harvard University study which examined whether a PSA test at midlife could accurately predict a man's risk for a more lethal form of prostate cancer later in life, especially for African American men. The presenters will then join in a panel discussion with Mr. Charlie Hill, Dr. Pamela Coleman and Mr. Michael Kemeter.
