Coming in 2017:
The Next Chapter in
Prostate Cancer
Early Detection Screening

  • With widespread PSA testing, the prostate cancer death rate declined by 40%+  (The death rate for black men declined fastest)
  • Screening rates have fallen significantly since the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force's (USPSTF) recommendation against PSA testing in 2012
  • There is an increase in men diagnosed with more advanced disease

Where to from here?

The PHEN Summit will examine the USPSTF's research plan for updating its recommendation and how it addresses African American/ high-risk populations. We will also feature an assessment of developments/medical practices for addressing USPSTF's risks concerns, and opportunities for impacting the new recommendation.

The Summit is Free and open to the Public!
