Only men are diagnosed with prostate cancer but women are critical in helping men to beat the disease. Wives and other loved ones play life-saving roles, from at times encouraging men to get PSA tested, helping to select a treatment option, and acting as caregivers. Many survivors speak thankfully of how their loved ones helped them to detect and beat prostate cancer.
Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY) will host the PHEN Summit session, on September 26th, at the Washington Convention Center, as a part of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Annual Legislative Conference. PHEN strongly encourages women to attend both days of the Summit. Knowledge and information gained from these sessions will be valuable in their fight against prostate cancer.
