Mom and me

My definition of a mother is someone who loves you unconditionally, no matter what. A mother is kind and patient -- protector and friend -- my mother was my best friend.

I got to grow up with a mother who taught me to believe in me. All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my mom. I only wish that all children, no matter what species, could know the love that I knew in my mother.

A Monkey Family Reunion -- just in time for Mother's Day!

Sweet Jane is a shy monkey who met her companion, Bloom, during her life in laboratory research. There she had a son. The couple retired to Florida last June and are enjoying the Florida sunshine.

Bloom and Jane are a model couple and together are very brave when it comes to new adventures -- they spend more time outside than any other pair. Bloom perches on the highest branch and basks in the sun.

Last month Flynn, along with his loving companion Alana, also retired to Jungle Friends. It wasn't until we were going through their records that we realized that Jane was Flynn's mother -- Happy Mother's Day!
