When Puchi arrived on May 29, 2004, who would have guessed that he would become Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary's best-known and most-loved monkey! With his 10th anniversary tomorrow, this Jungle News is all about Puchi.
Puchi was found by the authorities wandering on the Eisenhower Expressway in Chicago. He was sent to a zoological organization, which went bankrupt. That facility closing was our good luck, because they brought Puchi to us. When he arrived, Puchi had two eyes and more hair. He lost one eye and most of his hair, but he has a personality that just won't quit -- Puchi will melt your heart!
Puchi lives right next door to the sanctuary's office and he greets staff and volunteers on their way in every morning and he is everyone's last stop on their way out. Puchi gets lots of attention along with the other geriatric and special needs monkeys living with and around him.
Watch a Puchi mini-marathon!
Please help Puchi celebrate his 10th anniversary by making a donation in his honor. You can also Sponsor Puchi or send him a gift.
