I translated this article and it states that several zoos in Europe want Mally.
Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary has contacted the Shelter in Munich and CITES in Germany also offering a home to Mally.
Mally is 16 weeks old now.
Mally is an un-weaned white-faced capuchin.
This baby monkey needs a surrogate monkey mother, age-appropriate monkey friends, and to be introduced and socialized with other white-faced capuchins.
Because Mally was stolen from his mother at just 9 weeks, his health and well-being are compromised.
Monkers and Dylan.
Jungle Friends has a ready-made monkey family, including a proven surrogate female capuchin, young monkeys for peer play and white-faced capuchins ranging in age from 2 to 40 years old.
We hope Justin Bieber will do right by Mally and give him the best chance at having a "monkey life".
We also hope Mr. Bieber will speak out against the baby monkey trade! How many mother monkey's will have their babies stolen from them to be used as 'pets' or for toys for the wealthy - only to end up abandoned and discarded when they are too much trouble? How many monkeys will suffer because of this, I shudder to think. Please ask Justin Bieber to speak out against the baby monkey business! P.S. DON'T FORGET to set your DVR's, I will be on Anderson Live April 30th!
