Dear Friend of Jungle Friends,
Halloween is only a week away, and the monks have been enjoying their treat bags! If their mouths weren't so full of nuts and fruit they would say Thank You! Watch the spider monkeys enjoy their treat bags in "Halloween Thunder."
This week Claude Leasure and I are headed to the Free the Animals conference in St. Louis. We will be joined by Jen Feuerstein of Save the Chimps and Bob Ingersoll of Project Nim fame. We are giving a presentation on the special challenges for sanctuaries when providing homes for primates that have been used in research. Almost one-third of the Jungle Friends monkeys came from labs -- like Gatsby, Zeke and Bowser. Please donate to our Research Retirement Fund to help us build more habitats for more monkeys in need of a permanent home.
A very special thanks to the Sanders family for generously donating $550 to help build ChiChi's habitat. ChiChi will be arriving in about two weeks. With the $1,000 matching gift we received, we have been able to begin construction, but we still need your help!
