MAFS/UMAS Hosts Free Health Fair for community
Chicago, IL: Over 50 community members took advantage of medical screening and consultations offered at MAFS Chicago on August 28 by Dr. Madhu Gopal. With the aim to provide comprehensive medical checkup and needed consultation with several specialist all under one roof, the fair was opened to all. Those who took the advantage of the event were without medical insurance coverage, or had lack of medical access due to transportation or language barrier.
Participants were offered
* Blood Test for glucose and cholesterol
* Blood Pressure & Weight measurements
* Oxygen Test& Heart Rate Test
* Medical Supply for Diabetic shoe and other equipment
* Health Education Seminar for Healthy diet was provided by experts from Northwestern University.
