and its Components

The College is excited to launch the Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) program's first Portfolio Cycle.
Beginning September 2015, RECEs are encouraged to participate in this next phase of the CPL program. The CPL program is designed to help RECEs reflect, plan for and document their professional learning in a meaningful way.
The Portfolio Cycle spans over a two-year period and then repeats. During each cycle, members will plan for their continuous learning by using the Self-Assessment Tool, the Professional Learning Plan and the Record of Professional Learning. These tools, along with the CPL Portfolio Handbook and other resources, are available online.
If you haven't had the opportunity to do so, you may choose to begin by completing the Expectations for Practice Module, an online module of approximately one hour that will guide you through the Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007, regulations and by-laws that govern your profession. The module is available at no cost and provides you with a certificate of completion for your records.
Click here to view the CPL Portfolio Handbook for how you can participate in the CPL program.
