I'm pleased to present the latest edition of our e-newsletter, called A Year of Impact. Actually, every year in E&I could be called the "year of impact." But this year, we can more visibly and convincingly demonstrate that impact (see "E&I by the Numbers" below.) It is seen across the campus, from undocumented student services, to the Take Back the Night event, to the research of the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society. We also played a leadership role in this past year's Campus Climate Survey.
Next month marks the beginning of my eighth year anniversary as Vice Chancellor of E&I. I have proudly seen us grow from a three-person office to a full-fledged division that reaches thousands of people, both on and off the campus. We would not have been able to achieve this without the dedication of our exemplary staff and the generosity of our donors. It is only with your support that we can fulfill the vision of a fully equitable and inclusive campus.
With best wishes,
Gibor Basri
