Students from the Architecture/Engineering Design program recently visited Switlik Parachute Company in Trenton, New Jersey.  The students were able to see first-hand how the company designs and manufactures inflatable safety and survival products for the aviation, marine, and military/government products.  During the tour, students could easily connect what they've learned in the classroom with what they saw happening at the facility. Michael Dilts, a longtime member of Mercer County Technical School District's General Advisory Committee, hosted the tour.

First Class to Graduate from the Health Science Academy this June

It's hard to believe that nearly four years have gone by since the first class walked through the doors of the Health Science Academy in September 2010.  As with other high school seniors across the country, this time of year can be stressful as postsecondary decisions are being made.  We're pleased to share that college acceptances continue to roll in for our seniors too.   Students have been accepted to Drexel University, Rutgers University - New Brunswick and Rider University, just to name a few.

Students Participate in Regional Conference

Health Science Academy students were among 600+ attendees at the New Jersey HOSA Northern Regional Conference, organized by the NJ HOSA State Executive Council. Half of the officer team is comprised of students from the Mercer County Technical Schools' Health Science Academy. Piyush Puri is State President, Shawnee Chaudhury is State Secretary, Aditya Madduluri is State Parliamentarian, and Sneha Rangu is State Historian. As the Region III Vice President of the National Executive Council, Sunakshi Puri helped run a campaign workshop.
