Israel National Archaeological Center Slated to Open April 2016
According to the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) a new national archaeological complex is being planned to store and display Israel's 2 million plus national artifacts.
Designed by architect Moshe Safdie (who also designed Yad Vashem), the center will encompass 35,000 square meters and include an auditorium, library, cafe, exhibits, laboratories, and educational center. Currently under construction in central Jerusalem next to the Israel Museum, the complex is scheduled to be inaugurated in 2016 and will also serve as the IAA headquarters.
According to IAA head, Shuka Dorfman, the project is "the largest and most important...being built in Jerusalem this decade," and that the center will preserve "the archaeological and cultural heritage of the country and grant access to one and all."

The Israel Ministry of Tourism has recently released a new interactive video which lets viewers explore a myriad of sites in Israel virtually through the perspectives of locals.
Dozens of travel itineraries can be explored by choosing options from three themes - history, adventure or leisure. Digital visits can be made to 72 different sites in Israel, including the Western Wall, Eilat, Massada, Jaffa Port, the Dead Sea and many more.
