together to pledge, "never again" to another holocaust. It was a moving occasion to see the support for the Jewish people and my homeland of Israel.
After returning to Israel a few days ago my wife and I were blessed with the birth of our 8th grandchild. This is an exciting time for us as we welcome this precious child into our family. I want to thank everyone for all the congratulatory wishes on my Facebook page. Your thoughtfulness is much appreciated.
I will return to the U.S. in a few weeks and in early September I look forward to traveling, along with one of our wonderful Israeli guides, Guy Leibovitz, to southern California for several speaking engagements at various churches in the region.

Khirbet Qeiyafa Dig Yields Royal Palace & Storeroom
According to a recent press release by the Israel Antiquities Authority, "two royal public buildings, the likes of which have not previously been found in the Kingdom of Judah of the tenth century BC, were uncovered this past year by researchers of the Hebrew University and the Israel Antiquities Authority at Khirbet Qeiyafa - a fortified city in Judah dating to the time of King David and identified with the biblical city of Shaarayim." In the city list of the tribe of Simeon, it is mentioned as one of the cities "unto the reign of David" (1 Chr 4:31).
One of the buildings is identified by the researchers, Professor Yossi Garfinkel of the Hebrew University and Saar Ganor of the Israel Antiquities Authority, as David's palace, and the other structure served as a royal storeroom.
