Dear Friend,
Greetings from Israel! We've been enjoying the wonderful short-sleeve weather we've had here while meeting with various tour groups over the past few weeks. It is always a pleasure to spend time with them, many of whom are repeat visitors to this beautiful land. Wildflowers are blooming across the countryside and they've had plenty of water. The snow and rain this winter made sure of that.
This month we look forward to celebrating the upcoming Pesach and Easter holidays with family and friends. During these holidays we celebrate freedom - with one we celebrate the temporal freedom of the Israelites from the bonds of Egypt and the other the eternal freedom found in Jesus. Garden of Gethsemane
Gethsemane, Aramaic for "oil press", is a garden at the foot of the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem. According to the New Testament it was here that Jesus and his disciples prayed the night before his arrest. Long a focal site for Christian pilgrims, the earliest known description of the garden by a Christian traveler is from the anonymous Pilgrim of Bordeaux who traveled the Holy Land in 333 AD.
Several olive trees in the garden have been carbon dated to 1092, 1166 and 1198 AD. DNA tests show the trees were originally from the same parent plant.

2013 Run to the Wall Israel Tour

The 2013 Run to the Wall Israel Tour event hosted by Mission M:25 Riders, an IPHC ministry, is a combined motorcycle run, missions trip and Holy Land tour all rolled into one. Bikers and non-bikers alike are encouraged to join the tour to demonstrate their love and support for Israel! Participants will have an opportunity to honor Israeli soldiers who have given the ultimate sacrifice by planting trees in their memory at the Golani Tree Planting Center.
Led by Pastor Gary Burd, bikers will join in a special convoy known as "Run to the Wall" from Tel Aviv to the Western Wall in Jerusalem with a stopover at the Armor Corps Museum in Latrun to show solidarity with the Nation of Israel and pay special tribute to IDF soldiers. Participants in the tour will also enjoy many biblical and historical sites in the Holy Land, including the ancient Roman Theater and Aqueduct in Caesarea and the fortress ruins at Megiddo.
