Thanksgiving greetings to our Westminster family,

If you were unable to be with us last Sunday, we missed you and you missed a very full service of baptisms, bells, anthems and a stewardship video filled with reasons to give thanks to God and to give to the work of Christ through this congregation.  You also missed seeing the wonderful parade of people coming forward to place their offerings and pledges on the communion table.  It was a joy to be part of that procession.  

We are off to a good start with our Stewardship Campaign.  Last Sunday, the kick-off day, forty -three families and individuals turned in their commitment cards for 2013.  Those pledges total $193,580.00.  That is a good beginning and we are thankful for all that each and every one of you does to support the work of Westminster.  However, we are still more than $70,000 from reaching our stated goal of $267,000.00 in pledges. 

 If you have not yet made a pledge for 2013, we encourage you to do so this coming Sunday.  If you were deeply inspired by the video presentation, music or sermon last week, or if you were challenged in your heart to do more for the church, we would gratefully receive revised pledges too.  We knew when we set this dollar goal that it would be a challenge that would take all of us doing our part to reach it.  We need your help.  This is an attainable goal and it will enhance our work as a congregation.  If you cannot be in worship this week you may mail or bring your pledge to the office any day next week.  Deanna will be happy to see you and it will certainly help the Finance Committee with its work. 

If you have questions or concerns about our budget or expenses, please speak to Pastor Tim or a member of the Finance Committee.  We are working to serve our Lord with each dollar you entrust to us.

Thanks again for all you do.  Everything Westminster accomplishes is because members' gifts have made it possible.
