FOCUS ON HUNGER MONTH @ HOPE HOUSE
The need is great!
Each week of September we have focused on a much needed food item to bring for the Hope House Food pantry.
The last week of September is canned fruit. You can bring any of the other items we focused on earlier this month: peanut butter, jelly, juice and placed them on the table in the foyer outside the sanctuary. Let's fill our table! Thank you to everyone who has contributed this month! |

CROP WALK for Hunger Ending Hunger - One Step at A Time
Sunday, September 30th - 2:00 p.m.
If you would like to participate in this year's CROP Walk, please call the church office or come to the Old Depot Museum at 2:00 this Sunday! The youth have set a goal of $1,500 to raise for this year's walk. If you would like to pledge, please contact one of our mid high or Sr high youth, or our Youth Director, Jessica Coen, 248-9008. They will be taking pledges following worship on Sunday in the foyer. 25% of the total Ottawa Crop Walk income will go to Hope House.
What does CROP mean? Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty
Where does the money go? CROP Hunger Walks help fight hunger and poverty around the world, including in the United States.
What makes CROP Hunger Walk special? They are community-based and interfaith. They are organized by local religious leaders and are open to all faiths and community groups.
