VBS MISSION PROJECTS

Our offering project this year is two-fold.  For local mission we will be collecting wide-ruled notebook paper and pencils to be given away at the Resource and Readiness Fair for families in the Franklin County area sponsored by ECKAN and Communities In Schools.

For the second part, we will be partnering with other VBS programs through Operation Kid-to-Kid to help Squash Malaria in Mali, Africa.  Malaria is a mosquito-borne deadly disease.  Every 30 seconds, a child dies from malaria.  Together we hope to help Operation Kid-to-Kid meet the goal of providing more than 1 million specially treated mosquito bed nets to at-risk kids in Mali.  Our personal goal is to provide 50.  For every $6.00 donated, one bed net that will protect two children for up to 4 years can be purchased.  You can help the kids reach this goal. Donations of any size will help -- it all makes a difference.  With your donations, we could actually be a part of helping to eradicate malaria in the country of Mali!

Thank you for supporting these two offering projects.
