2016 GIS and Health Symposium Announced
URISA, in partnership with the American Public Health Association (APHA), is pleased to announce the 2016 GIS and Health Symposium taking place June 1-3, 2016 in Washington, DC. The theme for this year's Symposium is "Mapping the Way to Healthy Communities".
Such an important program! It will cover such topics as access to healthcare, infectious diseases (Zika virus, Ebola), food deserts, active living, community mapping, health equity, and so much more.

New Workshop Proposals Due February 22, 2016
URISA's Professional Education Materials Committee (PEMC) is soliciting new workshops for development and for possible presentation at GIS-Pro: URISA's Annual Conference, chapter and regional conferences and as stand-alone educational offerings. We are soliciting new workshop (and webinar) topics from the membership for courses to be developed in 2016.

Request for Comment on Proposed Revisions to the Address Standard by April 25
The FGDC is requesting public input on proposed revisions to the U.S. Thoroughfare, Landmark, and Postal Address Data Standard.
