Outreach Opportunity

Christ Covenant and Hope EPC will join together to provide a Hospitality tent at two upcoming community events. There will be shade, a baby-changing table, water, helium balloons, seats, photo displays of ministry at each church and brochures and flyers. It is a great chance to step out of our doors and into the life of our community to provide a cool, friendly place and opportunity to share about life at each church. If you'd like to be a part for 1-3 hours, contact Allison Webb, Beverley Bouchard or Pastor Bill.

Learn the New City Catechism: One Question Per Week

Each week we'll be posting a question and answer from the New City Catechism, along with a brief video explanation.

Question 24: Why was it necessary for Christ, the Redeemer, to die?

Answer:
Since death is the punishment for sin, Christ died willingly in our place to deliver us from the power and penalty of sin and bring us back to God. By his substitutionary atoning death, he alone redeems us from hell and gains for us forgiveness of sin, righteousness, and everlasting life.

Hospitality Volunteers Needed
We could use another helper or two to be available to make the coffee on Sunday morning and make sure the hospitality table is set up. We could also use a few more willing to be on rotation for bringing snacks to help fill the hospitality table.  If you are interested in either, please speak with Allison Webb.
How Does Authentic Revival Happen?

Some say real revival "is the result of the right use of the appropriate means.  .  .  .   a sort of churched version of 'If you build it, they will come.'"   Others would say that authentic revival  "is something that can only be explained as the direct action and intervention of God."  On Leadership and Revival is a short, but insightful article that gives real insight into the question.

Prayer Needs?
We want to hear about them! We have prayer cards in the Welcome Binders that are passed around every week.  Fill one out then slip it back in to the binder, or if you prefer you can hand it directly to Pastor Bill.
Our Intercession Group meets Wednesday evenings to cover these needs in prayer.  Contact Pastor Bill if you'd like to learn more about the group.
Also, all are welcome to come to the back of the worship area for prayer on Communion Sundays.
